Meet Our Dedicated Medical Team

Dr. Eric Tentori is a native of Kansas City, MO and attended the Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences, graduating in 1992 with his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine. Dr. Tentori came to Denver, CO to complete his residency training in Internal Medicine at Presbyterian St. Luke’s Medical Center and has been a fan of Colorado ever since. Dr. Tentori has been practicing Occupational Medicine in the state of Colorado since 1997, serving the Denver-metro area in addition to a 5-year stint serving the Western Slope where he had great access to some of the lesser traveled ski resorts Colorado has to offer. Dr. Tentori has over 10 years experience serving as Clinic Director of Occupational Medicine clinics and has spent the last 4 years focusing on the management of medically complex occupational work injuries.

Dr. Tentori is Level II accredited through the Colorado Division of Workers’ Compensation and is a Certified Medical Examiner with the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration. Dr. Tentori serves on the State of Colorado Division Independent Medical Exam panel.

Dr. Tentori works in our Denver and Thornton clinics. 

Dr. Kalevik is a graduate of the University of Colorado at Denver in Chemistry and performed graduate research at the University of Denver in Biochemistry. He received his medical degree from the College of Osteopathic Medicine of the Pacific. While completing his Residency in Family Medicine at Des Moines General Hospital he served as the Chief Resident. In addition to practicing Occupational Medicine in the Denver area for the last 25 years, Dr. Kalevik has served as the Employee Health Medical Director for a number of local hospitals. Dr. Kalevik’s focus is on musculoskeletal injuries and restoring function and productivity to Colorado workers following work-related injuries.

Dr. Kalevik is Level II accredited through the Colorado Division of Workers’ Compensation and is a Certified Medical Examiner with the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration. Dr. Kalevik serves on the State of Colorado Division Independent Medical Exam panel.

Brian Kevin McIntyre, D.O. was born and raised in New Jersey, and has been proud to call Colorado his home since 2013.  He is the youngest of 8 children and successfully navigated his way to become the first member of his family to attend a 4 year college straight out of high school. While in college his hard work and studies paid off by graduating from Rutgers University magna cum laude.

Although his major was Biology, he decided to enter the school district of Philadelphia to teach first grade to an underserved population. Afterwards he followed his dream and attended the UMDNJ(now Rowan University) School of Osteopathic Medicine.  He went on to complete his Osteopathic rotating internship in Corpus Christi, TX and completed residency at the prestigious Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, Maryland. He is Board certified in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PM&R). He also went on to obtain a Board certification in Integrative Holistic Medicine.

Throughout his career he has received several awards with the most recent being named a Castle Connolly Top Doctor for 2025, and a 5280 Magazine peer selected Top Doctor for 2024 and 2025.

Dr. McIntyre provides comprehensive injured worker care utilizing his many areas of general and specialized training. This means you will be seen and treated as a whole person, not just an injury!

Dr. Pompei began his medical career as a Flight Surgeon in the United States Navy following his graduation from the Naval Aerospace Medicine Institute. He attended medical school at Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed his residency training at the University of Colorado School of Medicine in Occupational and Environmental Medicine. Dr. Pompei served for three years as a Flight Surgeon before moving to Colorado and is active outdoors and enjoys hiking, cycling and spending time with his wife and dogs.

Dr. Pompei is Board Certified in Occupational Medicine, Level II accredited through the Colorado Division of Workers’ Compensation and is a Certified Medical Examiner with the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration.

Dr. Young is an Arizona native and graduate of Arizona College of Osteopathic Medicine earning his medical degree in 2021. He completed his translational year internship in Rome, Georgia in 2022 before moving to Colorado to do a Dermatology Research Fellowship at the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus. While at Anshutz, Dr. Young worked to launch a Phase 2a clinical trial in conjunction with Pfizer to help explore treatments for vitiligo. Dr. Young enjoys the abundance of outdoor activities in the Denver area and frequently goes on hikes with his family and two dogs.

Dr. Young is Level II accredited through the Colorado Division of Workers’ Compensation and is a Certified Medical Examiner with the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration.

Mary is a native Coloradoan and attended the University of Colorado Boulder where she completed her undergraduate studies in Anthropology. Mary completed her physician assistant studies at Red Rocks Community College in Lakewood and graduated with her Master of Medical Science from St. Francis University in 2012. Prior to joining the team at Injury Care Associates Mary specialized in primary care, specifically serving underserved and youth populations. Mary enjoys spending time with her patients and educating them on their condition and creating a treatment plan specific to their lifestyle and job duties. Mary believes that education and communication are key to empowering patients to take charge of their health.

Mary enjoys spending time outdoors and with her cats and is eagerly following the Avalanche in their quest to bring home another Stanley Cup.

Kelly is a Colorado native who grew up in Arvada. She earned her Master's in Physician Assistant Studies from Chapman University in Irvine, California, graduating in 2023. After completing her training, Kelly returned to Colorado and began her career at Injury Care Associates. She is passionate about supporting patients throughout their recovery journey and helping them navigate the complexities of returning to work.

Outside of the clinic, Kelly enjoys spending time outdoors with her family, attending Nuggets games, and fostering dogs through a local rescue organization.

Melissa is a Colorado native who completed her undergraduate studies in Integrative Physiology at the University of Colorado Boulder. She then moved to Philadelphia to pursue her physician assistant and public health education at Arcadia University. Melissa graduated in May 2025 as president of her class, earning both a Master of Medical Sciences and a Master of Public Health. During PA school, she completed multiple clinical rotations with a focus on orthopedic and acute care services.

Melissa places a strong emphasis on in-depth patient education, ensuring patients understand the "why" behind their condition and are actively involved in and aligned with their care plans. She believes that meaningful patient understanding plays a vital role in facilitating successful treatment outcomes and hopes to integrate her public health background into her clinical practice.

Outside of work, Melissa enjoys taking dance classes and embracing the Colorado outdoors through activities such as paddleboarding, hiking, skiing, and camping.

Allison is originally from the Chicagoland area and earned her undergraduate degree in Chemistry from North Central College in Naperville, Illinois. She completed her physician assistant training at Midwestern University in Downers Grove, Illinois. Allison brings clinical experience from both family medicine and working with the State of Colorado, providing her with a well-rounded and compassionate approach to patient care.

Outside of work, Allison enjoys running, hiking, and spending time with her cats.

Amaya is originally from Fishers, Indiana but moved to Pittsburgh Pennsylvania to attend Duquesne University where she was able to pursue both academic and athletic careers. She attended Duquesne University for both her undergraduate degree in Public Health and her master's degree in physician assistant studies all while becoming the record holder for most games played in Duquesne women's basketball history and being recognized on the Atlantic 10 Commissioner's Honor Roll for academic excellence in 2022-2023.

Amaya became PA because she is passionate about serving others. One of her primary goals as a medical provider is to focus on the mitigation of heath care disparities and provide high-quality care to all. She understands that healthcare can be intimidating, and it is important in her practice that she establishes rapport with her patients to make them feel safe and taken care of.

Outside of work she enjoys hiking, traveling, volunteering in youth sports, and spending time with family and friends.

Lacey is a graduate of University of Wisconsin-Madison where she earned her Doctorate in physical therapy. Lacey also has her Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. Through her training and clinical experience Lacey has worked in sports medicine, orthopedic, and occupational health clinics and has experience working with adult neurological populations and youth adaptive athletes. Lacey enjoys hiking with her dog, biking, snowboarding, and playing football and looks forward to exploring Colorado and leaving Wisconsin winters behind.

Kelsey is originally from Columbia, MO and completed her Bachelor of Science and her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Rockhurst University in Kansas City, MO. Throughout her years in clinical practice Kelsey has worked with a wide variety of patient populations in both inpatient and outpatient settings specializing in sub-acute therapy as well as fall and balance rehabilitation. Kelsey enjoys working with patients and focusing their rehabilitation on specific job-related goals to help them achieve a safe and successful return to work following an on-the-job injury. Outside of work Kelsey enjoys traveling, gardening, crafting, playing board games, and heading to the mountains for hiking and camping.

Brook is an Arizona native, where she attended Arizona State University for undergrad and continued at A.T Still University, earning her Doctorate in Physical Therapy. Since graduating in 2020, Brook has worked with a wide variety of patients, beginning with in-patient therapy in a hospital setting and then transitioning to outpatient rehabilitation and workers’ compensation. She enjoys help helping patients along their rehabilitation journey; regaining function, improving work tolerance, and getting back to the activities that matter most to them. 

When not working, Brook enjoys hiking and camping in the summer months with her two dogs, Pip and Haze, and brewery hopping and game nights in the winter. She also plays flag football which she plays competitively year-round. 

Shelby completed her undergraduate studies at the University of Colorado Boulder and her Doctorate in Physical Therapy at Chapman University in California. Shelby was born and raised in California but fell in love with Colorado when she attended CU Boulder for her Bachelors in Integrative Physiology. While attending CU, she interned at the CU Sports Medicine and Performance Center where she was able to experience a comprehensive care model in which physicians, physical therapists, athletic trainers and other clinicians collaborated to rehabilitate athletes and improve athletic performance. Shelby has clinical experience in both workers compensation and outpatient orthopedics. She is dedicated to providing a treatment plan that is personalized to the patient and their goals while working to restore function and performance.

When Shelby is not working, she enjoys hiking and camping with her dog, woodworking, watching Av’s games and snowboarding.

Curtis has been practicing in the Denver area specialized in Occupational Medicine, Workers’ Compensation and Orthopedics for over 25 years. He now lives in Southeast Aurora and welcomes the opportunity to be in our Parker clinic. His philosophy with patient care is to provide excellent service and quality of care in a clinical setting for physical therapy with an emphasis on efficiency and education. Curtis is passionate about taking care of the patient. He believes that patient care be one-on-one, advancing goals and improving function while returning patients back to work from their injury.  Curtis and Dr. Kalevik have partnered together in Occupational Medicine for 15 years serving patients in Denver and Parker.  

Curtis earned his Master’s in Physical Therapy at University of Southern California in 1996.  He has a Bachelor of Art in Exercise Science in 1993 from Occidental College. Curtis is originally from Albuquerque, NM and loves Spicy Food!  He enjoys travelling the world and road trips. He loves trying new restaurants with his wife Amy and being around family. Curtis enjoys playing card and board games. He is passionate about pinball, billiards, and shuffleboard. Curtis is an avid sports fan and supports the Denver Broncos, Colorado Avalanche, Colorado Rockies, and Denver Nuggets!

A Chicagoland native, Ned completed his undergraduate education at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and received a Doctor of Physical Therapy from the University of Illinois at Chicago.  He got interested in PT from his mother, also a PT, and when he had his own knee injury in high school, and became fascinated with the human body; its complexity, and its ability to recover and rehabilitate.  Ned is passionate about advancing his skill set, pushing himself to learn and grow both professionally and personally.  He is certified in Dry Needling and SFMA and is board-certified as an Orthopedic Specialist.  His favorite patient is the one who wants to work with him; he finds great joy in assisting people on their journey to recovery back to work.  Being an Eagle Scout taught him his love of nature and is part of why he now lives in Colorado.  He’s an avid runner and outdoorsman, runs 8 marathons including the Boston Marathon, has climbed all 58 of Colorado’s 14ers, and is an active member of his Church community.

Bruce Bennett has been a massage therapist since 2013, completing his training at the Soothing Arts School of Massage in Florida. Bruce decided to pursue a career in massage after serving for five and a half years in the military and in 2019 traded the sandy beaches of Florida for the Colorado mountains.

In his practice of massage, Bruce adapts to each patients’ unique needs by using an integrative style of deep tissue, sports massage, rehabilitation techniques, fascial stretching, and muscle activation techniques. Bruce is dedicated to assisting patients in achieving and maintaining increased vitality and optimal performance in their lives.

Outside of the massage room Bruce enjoys hobbies that keep him mentally and physically engaged. He enjoys various types of exercise, semi competitive gaming, camping, fishing and mountain biking. Bruce believes that being active, mentally and physically, is at the core of building and maintaining a health and happy life.

Alex has been practicing massage therapy since 2023, after completing her massage training at the Colorado School of Healing Arts. There, she received comprehensive training in a wide range of massage techniques to address various conditions. In her practice, Alex tailors each session to meet her patients' individual needs, utilizing deep tissue, sports massage, and neuromuscular techniques to support the healing process and improve muscle function, strength, range of motion, and overall mobility.

A Colorado native, Alex has a deep appreciation for the state's mountain ranges and scenic landscapes. When she's not in the massage room, she enjoys spending time in the mountains hiking with her dog and taking day trips to explore small mountain towns. When staying closer to home, Alex loves roller skating, painting, and searching for unique finds in antique shops.

Dr. Michael Varnay is a Board Certified Chiropractor specializing in the conservative management of chronic pain and work-related injuries. By using a multi-modal diagnostic and treatment model to determine the "can's and cannot's" of conservative care, Dr. Varnay creates unique treatment plans that are specific to the patient, injury, and level of functional status the patient plans to return to. 

Services provided by Dr. Varnay include chiropractic adjustments, physio-tape, functional movement, and dry-needling. Dr. Varnay's goal when performing dry-needling is to restore function with the least risk possible. Dr. Varnay works with the patient to tailor the treatment to include exercises and activities that can be performed between visits to limit the number of visits necessary to achieve maximum levels of functional improvement. 

Dr. Varnay works in our Denver clinic. 

Tony joined Injury Care Associates in 2020 to launch our On-site Services to better serve our patients and Colorado employers by bringing high-quality medical services direct to the job site. Tony is a Registered Nurse with experience in Acute Care and Hospital Administration and prior to nursing, was a Paramedic for 20 years. With his clinical background in emergency medicine and inpatient care along with his Masters in Nursing Leadership and administrative background, Tony is well positioned to lead our On-site Services team and provide world class services to patients and clients throughout the Denver area.  

When not working Tony can often be found riding his horses through many of Colorado’s National or State parks or cycling his way over some of Colorado’s passes. 

Tony staffs and manages Injury Care Associates On-site Services in the greater Denver area and select regions along the Front Range. 

Amalin is a proud Colorado resident who oversees daily operations, staff coordination, and patient flow to ensure a smooth, high-quality care experience at our Denver clinic. Her goal is to make every patient feel supported, informed, and confident throughout their care journey. Amalin takes great pride in helping the clinic deliver outstanding service from the moment patients walk through the doors through every step of the medical care process.

Outside the clinic, Amalin enjoys spending time with her daughter and making the most of Colorado's short but beautiful summer days soaking up the sun.

Marissa, like many of our team, is a Colorado native and has been with Injury Care Associates since it opened in 2017. Marissa has a strong passion for healthcare and having a positive impact on patients’ lives. As a Practice Manager, Marissa embraces the opportunity she has to help injured workers navigate the workers’ compensation healthcare system. She understands the challenges and frustrations that patients experience when they have an injury and she is committed to helping them focus on their recovery and returning back to work. Marissa enjoys the opportunities that she has to be a trusted partner to patients and Colorado employers. Outside of Injury Care Associates Marissa enjoys photography and spending time with her family.

Chris joins the team at Injury Care Associates after relocating with his wife from Wisconsin to avoid the harsh winters and embrace all the outdoor activities Colorado has to offer. After graduating from the University of Wisconsin – Stout with a degree in Hotel, Restaurant, and Tourism Management, he found his first career at Johnston’s Bakery selling pre-made bakery doughs throughout the Midwest. After five years of early mornings and well over 500,000 cookies baked, and nearly as many eaten, the move to Colorado was an opportunity to seek out a new challenge. Chris has turned in his bakery apron and cold Midwest winters for the active Colorado lifestyle and has brought his enthusiasm and positivity for helping people to Injury Care Associates. Chris is looking forward to working with the passionate team at Injury Care Associates to provide care to injured workers and help Colorado employers manage risk.

Ryan T Kidd is a marketing expert with over 17 years of digital marketing expertise. He specializes in integrated marketing, search engine optimization, media relations, and creating impactful campaigns that result in tangible outcomes. His career has spanned roles in strategy, project management, and stakeholder relations, both on the client and agency side. His experience working with leading global brands makes him an invaluable asset to businesses and organizations that need an expert in creating customized marketing plans.

Brett is a Colorado native who has been in the healthcare field since 2005. Brett has experience in the administration of Family Practice, Urgent Care and Occupational Medicine facilities. Brett has a Masters in Biomedical Sciences from Colorado State University and a Masters of Business Administration from the University of Colorado. Brett enjoys running and cycling and spending time with his wife and sons.
